Whether it be a basic set of financial statements and footnotes, a public company annual report, SEC Form 10-K or 10-Q, a governmental CAFR or anything in between, Report Alliance can offer you CPA-caliber formatting, proofreading, word processing and binding services to take your financial report to the next level.
Report Alliance primarily provides pro forma, formatting, proofreading, word processing/typing, tie-out/calculations check and binding services for our clients’ financial reports. These services are detailed further on our Services & Rates page. However, if you’re in need of services beyond these main offerings, please reach out to discuss and we’ll do our very best to accommodate you.
CPA Firms
Standard turnaround times are negotiable, within reason, at the time of your request or when finalizing terms within a contract. However, we’re very cognizant of the time-sensitive, deadline-driven nature of financial report processing, so we will always aim to return your files as soon as possible. Also, our standard business hours of 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Saturday allow for a quicker turnaround overall.
Fees will vary due to possible bulk contracts and discounted rates, which are negotiable based on a firm’s commitment level and report workload. However, the blended per-page rates on our Services & Rates page can be used as a baseline until we are able to schedule a discovery call and discuss terms.
Each CPA firm approaches their internal operations and processes in different ways; given that, Report Alliance strives to remain flexible in how we provide support and tries to tailor our report processing approach to match the preferences and circumstances of each firm. Independent Entities
Per the SEC’s Office of the Chief Accountant, the organizations subject to auditor independence, and therefore requiring formatting, proofreading, word processing and binding assistance from an independent third party like Report Alliance, include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Broker-dealers
- Commodity pools registered with the CFTC
- FDICIA banks with total assets greater than $500 million
- Futures commission merchants
- Hedge funds
- Introducing brokers registered with the SEC and/or the CFTC
- IPOs (and privately held companies intending to file an IPO within the next three years)
- Issuers
- Mutual funds
- Private equity funds
- Publicly traded companies
We highly recommend that you consult directly with a member of the SEC or your CPA if you need any assistance in determining whether your organization is subject to these auditor independence regulations.
According to the SEC’s Office of the Chief Accountant, if your organization is subject to PCAOB/SEC auditor independence regulations, your auditor is prohibited from providing the following services for your financial report, among others:
- Word processing. This includes typing; editing your drafts in Word or Excel, including in tracked changes mode; performing a pro forma or rolling forward your prior-year financial statements; and creating new financial statements.
- Providing prior-year Word or Excel files to you. All files must be created and maintained by you.
- Handling your Word or Excel files.
- Formatting your Word or Excel files.
- Adding comments to your Word or Excel files.
- Proofreading or entering edits in your Word or Excel files.
- Using auditor-branded report covers for your final financial report (all auditor logos, letterhead and other references, if any, should be limited to the opinion page(s)).
- Printing your final financial report.
- Assembling/binding your final financial report.

When requesting the Format service, we need to know the specific format you’d like us to use for your report. If you have a preferred report format, please upload your organization's formatting guide or a report sample from which we can extract formatting parameters. Alternatively, you can select our Report Alliance format for a clean, professional presentation (view sample).
If you don’t have a formatting preference for your financial report, we can apply our Report Alliance format (view sample), which ensures a clean, consistent and professional presentation for your report. If you’d like to use this Report Alliance format, please select that option for the Format service within your order.
When requesting the Proof service, we need to know the specific proofreading rules you’d like us to apply to your financial report. If you have a preferred style guide, please select it from the options provided in your order or upload your organization's style guide for our reference.
If in doubt, select the Associated Press Stylebook as your preferred style guide, as it is the most commonly used guide and highly regarded in the accounting industry.
Bound reports can be produced and shipped to you by selecting the Binding service in your order. Our bound reports are printed in color and assembled using a black coil binding and a clear, glossy cover, for a simple yet professional presentation (view sample).
You’re able to choose from multiple shipping options when you order bound reports to ensure you receive them in a timely manner.
We’re proud to offer free standard shipping to all clients within the U.S. Next-day and two-day shipping options are also available for an additional fee. Please allow 24 hours for the assembly of bound copies prior to shipping.
The estimated completion date/time calculated in your order is based on our onsite business hours of 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Saturday. The estimated turnaround will adjust based on the number of pages and services designated in your order, in addition to any rush options you may have selected.
Please note that the Binding service is not included in the estimated completion date/time. The turnaround for the Binding service is determined solely by the shipping option selected within your order, with an additional 24 hours allocated for the assembly of the bound copies prior to shipping.
The estimated total charges compound based on the number of pages and services designated in your order, in addition to any rush options you may have selected.
If you select the Binding service, the estimated total charges will also include the number of bound copies, sales tax and an upcharge for certain shipping options, if applicable.
Absolutely. Rush options are available for nearly all services and are based on the standard turnaround time for the service(s) selected within your order. Additional fees will apply for any rush order.
Please note that rush options do not apply to the Binding service. If you need bound reports shipped more quickly, you will need to choose a faster delivery option for the Binding service within your order.
Once your order is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email summarizing your order details, the estimated completion date/time and the estimated total charges. If we identify any discrepancies or missing information within your request, you will be contacted via phone or email to confirm or clarify these points. Then we’ll get to work, processing your files to your specifications within the time allotted.
We’ll send you a notification email once we begin processing your order and another notification once your order is complete, at which time your updated files will be available for download via your Dashboard.
If you’ve requested bound copies of your report, we will print, bind and ship them to the individual and location of your choice within 24 hours of receiving your request via the delivery method selected.
You will receive a notification email once your order is complete, after which you can access your account at your convenience and download your updated files via your Dashboard.
Please refer to our Services & Rates page for blended per-page rates for each of our six services. We recognize that financial report pages often vary in content; some may be brimming with text and tables, while others may only contain a few lines or a single table. We’ve taken this variable into account in our blended rates to ensure your costs remain as streamlined and reasonable as possible. Also, for your convenience, we provide a real-time estimated cost calculation as you select services within your order. Please note that there are also upcharges for rush requests and certain shipping options for bound reports.
We’ve established standard turnaround times for each service in an effort to manage all of our client work and meet deadlines in a timely manner without ever compromising on quality. However, we’re very cognizant of the time-sensitive, deadline-driven nature of financial report processing, so we will always aim to return your files as soon as possible, and often before your requested deadline.
For your convenience, we provide a real-time estimated turnaround as you select service options in your order. If you need your report returned sooner than the estimated turnaround date/time tallied in your order, please select one of our rush options at that time and we will be happy to accommodate you for an additional fee.
Please note that all standard and rush turnaround times are calculated based on our onsite business hours of 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Saturday.
The total charges for each order must be paid in full by valid credit card when placing your order. PayPal, Venmo and other payment options are unavailable at this time.
Report Alliance strives for the utmost client confidentiality by protecting all client information and files submitted through our site via SSL encryption; securely disposing of report files within six months of order completion; and having our employees sign a general non-disclosure agreement that automatically governs each report submission from receipt to completion.

Please note that the total charges and turnaround time associated with your order may be adjusted depending on your modifications.
